The rain is thrashing down, the wind is howling. It’s June but the heating is on I’m snuggled under a blanket wishing for the sun to come back.
I dream of sunnier days and glorious summer nights I am thankful for good double glazing. It’s amazing the difference that nice windows and doors can make to your house. Having installed them in our old house I was amazed at how they transformed both the outside and inside of the house. Making it warmer, but also lighter and brighter too. Truly giving it an updated and modern feel. I’m lucky that the windows in our new house are pretty new so .I don’t need to focus on them at this point which lets me think about redecorating or accessorising
But looking out the patio door from my kitchen I can’t help but look longingly at bifold doors and conservatories and all those modern home improvements that make the garden feel like they are an extension of your living space. I’m really lucky that we have no shortage of outdoor space and seeing as my kitchen is my favourite part of the house because of its amazing outlook onto the garden I know that these improvements would make even more of this space.
I’m imagining folding back those bifold doors and welcomingfriends and family for parties and barbecues. Letting the garden work as part of the kitchen and making it a truly special heart to our home.
For now it’s just a dream, but we all need those don’t we?
