First Crush

What’s the normal age for a first crush? I don’t know if there is an average age but I definitely did not expect LissyLou’s first crush to happen just after her 2nd birthday. When I say first crush you would be forgiven for thinking it was some cute toddler or even a pre-schooler sporting a runny nose or grazes on his knees. LissyLou however has set her sights somewhat higher, somewhat older and somewhat more tattooed than I would have hoped.

She is madly, deeply in love with a certain Mr Harry Styles, yes, that’s right she’s more than a little bit obsessed with him. The mere mention of his name is enough to send her into a spin. She loves to watch One Direction videos on Youtube and if they come on the radio she gets very excited!

It’s all very cute if not slightly disturbing, everytime she says things like

“Harry smiled at me”

“Harry says I’m beautiful”

I get these flash forwards to her teenage years, of girls screaming and going crazy over a band. But then I just need to look at my cheeky little girl and she’s doing all that right now, the only real difference is that she loves to watch her Harry while she drinks her bottle!

  1. Aww thats so sweet. My friends 6 year old is Harry mad too. She calls him her boyfriend ๐Ÿ™‚ I loved Jared Leto as a teen and now my 14 year old cousin loves him (about 20 years later!) – its really odd!

    • Bless them, why couldn’t she like some innocent pre-schooler though? Your friends daughter is clearly not alone I think LOTS of little girls love Harry!

Ooh that is weird, I liked Jared Leto too years ago but now I’m all about Daniel Craig ๐Ÿ˜‰

  2. this brings back memories, my first one was a kids tv presenter I cant remember his name. I think there is about a 3 year gap between your first on screen crush and real one involving an actual person!
