Eating out as a family

I love eating out as a family. It’s nice that no-one has to cook and no-one has to wash up and you can eat something that you wouldn’t make at home. I don’t like how expensive eating out is becoming though, I’ve noticed recently that with two children in tow the amount we spend on eating out has soared. Drinks alone really bump up the price and even though the children usually share a meal it still ends up costing more than you think it will and means we eat out less often than we used to do. But I do love eating out and if there was a way to make it cheaper without having to leave the kids at home that would be great!

My Family Club has a new dining club though which brings you great discounts on restaurants from things like free desserts, 20% off your bill or free meals for the kids. I’m always a bit wary about things like this but on reading more about the dining club I really think it’s a good deal. You pay £9.95 for the year to gain access to the dining club and My Family Club’s Saving Pack and the benefits are huge. As well as the dining discounts you get between 4% and 10% off at 5 major retailers, including places likes Boots, M&S, Cafe Rouge etc by pre-paying for discounted gift cards. It’s really just free money and you would quickly make your money back.

To use the dining club you don’t even need to take the kids with you so you could take friends and still benefit from the discounts. There is a full list of the restaurants offering discounts here so you can see which of your local restaurants currently offer discounts to My Family Club Dining Club members, this list is set to grow so it will be worth keeping an eye on it if there aren’t many places in your area yet!
