Pretty School Run Style
I decided that just because I’m on the school run doesn’t mean I have to forget all sense of personal style. I don’t have to wear tracksuits or ill fitting tunics that make me look pregnant. I don’t have to pretend I’m happy wearing unflattering, dowdy clothes. I’m lucky that a few of the other pre-school mums are really quite fashionable so it gives me that push to make an effort
I tend to wear flat shoes simply because my high heels are sky scrapers and flatties are very practical but they have to be pretty or cool, I don’t do ugly flatties! Normally I’ll team them with skinny jeans, a vest and a blazer, practical but fashionable at the same time. I’d love to switch it up a bit and wear something a bit more girly for a change!
When I saw that Joe Browns were looking for bloggers to talk about the school run style I thought I might as well give you an insight into what I would choose from their wide selection to create a great school run outfit to make me feel feminine and pretty!
I went for this pretty ditsy tea dress because it’s really easy to style and will carry through the seasons by adding tights or leggings and either a top underneath or a cardigan or jacket over the top making it great value for money and extremly wearable.
Then I chose a big floppy sun hat because I can’t insist my children wear sun hats if I’m not willing to wear one myself. It would come in handy for our trips to the park with some of C’s friends too, for keeping the sun off while we play! It would also help hide a bad hair day which is never a bad thing!
I love these yellow wedges, they add a needed blast of colour and because they are wedges they are easy to walk in too. I love the Joe Browns also have some fun flats that I could stick in my bag ‘just in case’!
A pretty bag in a contrasting print means I can carry those all important drinks and snacks for the children (and those spare flats!) and the fully adjustable strap means I can sling it over my shoulder or wear it cross body to help me keep hold of the pram and a small toddler!
This cute fabric and charms bracelet just finished the look off nicely!
So there you have it, my Joe Browns pretty school run style, clashing pretty prints, girly but quirky!
