I was really excited to be invited for a Sneaky Preview Of The Next Childrens Collection For S/S12. A great event just for mummy bloggers to give their feedback on the new collections!
I love Next clothes and always get carried away by their clothes so when they invited me to take a sneaky peek I was really chuffed! So chuffed that I got in the car before 7am and made the 240 mile round trip to Next HQ in Leicester just to get my fix before the collections go into stores! Even better was that I was given a voucher to choose LissyLou an outfit to wear to the event! It consists of a cream top , sparkly cardigan, sparkly shorts, tights and shoes, all for the bargain price of £33! I could easily of chosen about 10 different outfits, such is my love of Next!
I was not disappointed, with loads of new styles and colours on the shelves the Next mock-shop was a buzz of bloggers and children. It was really nice to attend an event that was really well set up for children, from the lovely play area with loads of toys, to the stash of cupcakes the children were well catered for! LissyLou enjoyed showing off her new found sitting up skills much to my surprise!
I will apologise now for some of my photography, who knew how hard it is to take photos when you are holding a baby who is trying to ‘help’!
But I had gone for the clothes! I fell in love with this lovely denim jumpsuit, I loved that it comes with poppers up the legs even to age 2 so they have thought about the needs of mum’s when making it and the style is really funky!
This cardigan was really pretty and would make any outfit special!
In fact there was so many lovely things I could quite literally have bought the lot there and then! I always feel that way about Next girls clothes so I was glad that the new collection doesn’t disappoint on that score. With the wide range of colours from the blue and yellow theme to the ditsy fabrics and of course the pretty pink range!
The boys aren’t short of choices either!
My favourite boys choice is these lovely dungarees! But the selection was wide and older boys have a great range of funky knits and trendy chinos alongside cute polos and nice jackets the range is really mix and match so that you can get something just right for your child!
Possibly the most interesting part of the new collections was their new unisex range of baby clothes featuring bright colours and funky patterns, these would make a great gift! The lovely elephant printed vests and babygro were really cute and they had some lovely I Love Mummy and I Love Daddy babygro’s with stripy feet that were fun and cute.
I’d like to thank the great photographer who was patient and really good with the children, I bet there will be some lovely photos from that session. The one of LissyLou at the top was taken by him and here is one of us both!
(I even wore a Next dress myself!)
We were then whisked off for a lovely lunch and the children were entertained by Jo Jingles which went down a storm!
Thanks to Next for inviting me to the event!
I received vouchers for Next, a goody bag, travel expenses, food and gifts from Next in exchange for my opinions on the new collection and my time.
